AN OASIS IN THE LANGHE

Why Mamota?
More than twenty years ago, Fabrizio and I (Silvia) decided to change our lives, leaving our beloved Turin to move into the house that, at the time, was still partly inhabited by my mother.
The house is a country farmhouse located in Vesime, a small and delightful village in the Alta Langa Astigiana in
Province of Asti, between the Langhe and Monferrato, a stone's throw from the wonders of UNESCO World Heritage sites.
As we fantasized about our future, we already saw our children growing up in this place surrounded by nature.
and far from the frenetic city life. My fate was probably already sealed, because right in the middle of the move, I received confirmation that Stefano would soon be born.
The work to transform the old stable and the farmhouse was proceeding at a rapid pace and little by little a dream was coming true.
Meanwhile, Marta was also making an appearance in my family's life.
A few years pass and, one day, in May 2019, during a Sunday lunch with the whole family together, Marta, now twenty years old, proposes an idea of hers: “Why not share this corner of paradise, where we are fortunate enough to live, with other people who can appreciate it in the right way?”
Fabrizio, Stefano, and I were immediately enthusiastic about the proposal, and from there, without a second thought, our family supported Marta in her adventure in every way, and the Bed & Breakfast project was launched.
This is how “MAMOTA B&B” was born.
Why MAMOTA? Because in our family, it's the affectionate way we call mothers.
MAMOTA is "an Oasis in the Langhe," and we want to convey this feeling to our guests, too, because when you come to us (just like when you cross a desert and arrive at an oasis), you'll find everything you need to regenerate.
MAMOTA is simplicity, hospitality, peace, nature, plants, flowers, birdsong, sounds, the discreet tinkling of our wind chimes, good food, guaranteed rest, tranquility, discretion and availability.
Those who come to us should think of a place where they can feel good and relax, even with walks and hikes in unspoiled nature, surrounded by landscapes that have retained some of their original shape, with dense woods, vineyards, meadows, and hazelnut groves.
Since 2024 Marta has passed the baton of running the Mamota B&B to me.
In any case, my family and I continue to always welcome guests with a big smile, like friends, doing our best to make them feel at ease, like at home, accompanying them discreetly during their stay and always trying to convey to them the love for this wonderful land that is the Langa.
